5 Factors That Define You
Every order you place contributes to these five factors. Each is weighted differently in the final score.
📦
40%
Delivery Rate
Did you accept and receive the order? The most important factor. Every accepted delivery boosts your score significantly.
🚚
30%
No RTO
RTO (Return To Origin) means you rejected or missed the delivery. The second biggest drag on your score.
💳
15%
Prepaid Orders
Paying online (UPI, card, net banking) shows commitment. Prepaid orders never result in RTO and improve your score.
↩️
10%
Low Returns
Frequently returning delivered orders affects this factor. Returning because of genuine defects has less impact than serial returns.
5%
Low Cancellations
Cancelling orders after placing them — especially COD orders just before dispatch — reduces this factor.
How To Build Your Score
Small habits make a big difference. Here's exactly what helps and what hurts.

What Helps

1
Accept every delivery
Be available when the courier arrives. If you can't take delivery, reschedule — don't reject. Every successful delivery is your biggest score booster.
2
Pay prepaid when you can
Prepaid orders are always delivered, never RTO'd at your end, and add to your prepaid rate — which carries 15% weight.
3
Only order what you intend to keep
Avoid ordering multiple variants to "try at home" via COD and returning all but one. This pattern is heavily penalised.
4
Don't cancel after placing
If you're unsure, don't order. Cancellations after placement — especially repeat ones — signal unreliability to the network.

What Hurts

1
Rejecting deliveries at the door
Every rejected delivery is an RTO. Enough RTOs and you drop to Risky tier, where COD gets restricted across all stores.
2
Not being available for delivery
If the courier can't reach you and the package is returned, it counts as an RTO in the system — even if you didn't refuse it intentionally.
3
Placing multiple COD orders and returning most
Ordering 5 items COD and returning 4 is one of the fastest ways to drive your score to Risky or Blacklisted.
4
Repeated cancellations
Cancelling once is fine. Cancelling repeatedly across different stores gets tracked at the network level, not just per store.

Frequently Asked
Does every store see my Truwth Score?
Only stores that have installed the Truwth app on their Shopify store can see your score. Your full phone number is never shared — stores only see your score, tier, and order patterns.
I'm a new buyer. What's my score?
All new buyers start at 600 — the "Good" tier. This means COD is fully available from your very first order. Your score then moves up or down based on your actual behaviour.
How quickly does my score update?
Your score updates in real time after each order event — when an order is placed, delivered, returned, or cancelled. The full effect of a delivery shows within 24–48 hours of the status being updated in the store's system.
Can I dispute an RTO that wasn't my fault?
Currently, scores are calculated automatically based on order data from stores. If there was a genuine delivery failure by the courier, contact the store directly and ask them to update the order status — that will reflect in your score automatically.
How long does it take to go from Risky to Good?
It depends on your total order volume. If you have 10 orders and 4 were RTOs, completing 6 more successful deliveries can bring you back to Good. The more orders you have, the more history counts — but consistent good behaviour always improves your score over time.
Is my phone number or personal data visible to stores?
No. Your phone number is stored as a one-way encrypted hash and is never visible to any merchant. Stores see your Truwth ID, score, tier, and anonymised order statistics — nothing else. Your privacy is fully protected. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I opt out of Truwth?
Yes. You can request deletion of your Truwth data by visiting our Privacy Policy page and submitting a data removal request. Note that opting out means you'll start fresh (as a new buyer) at any Truwth store.
